Symbiosis
What is symbiosis and what does it have to do with the taiga.
The ants are helping each other kill the caterpillar. They both will get nutrients from it.
Symbiosis is a relationship between two species that live together.
Mutualism- when both species benefit from each other.
Commensalism- when only one of the two species benefits but the other is not harmed or helped.
Parasitism- When one organism lives inside of the other and harms it.
The mushrooms on the tree are taking nutrients from the tree but their not harming it or helping it.
The bugs are taking away energy from the caterpillar which is harming the caterpillar but helping them.
